– Scars of war
Evocative fashion. Intense emotions, memories, desires, impressions of a world in turmoil all find their way into the work of fashion designer Franciscus van der Meer. This collection was inspired by Second World War tragedy. We translated the concept into a toned-down lookbook with black and white stripes, grey paper, broken, split, and sliced images. Mode die je raakt. Intense emoties, herinneringen, verlangens, indrukken van een wereld in beroering: ze komen allemaal terug in het werk van modeontwerper Franciscus van der Meer. Inspiratie voor deze collectie was de tragiek van de Tweede Wereldoorlog. We vertaalden het concept naar een ingetogen lookbook met zwart-witte strepen, grijs papier en stukgesneden beelden.
